I know how it is when you’re thinking about buying or selling a house, and you’re online, doing research for hours. You’re not looking for a real estate agent, at least that’s not your first thought. Heck, you might even ‘have an agent’ already, or you might like the idea of going at it on your own. “Why do I even need an agent?”, you wonder.
And if you do want the assistance of a real estate agent, or at least want to get some questions answered, how do you choose? They all start to look the same, right? They’re all #1! They’ve all got awards and letters lined up behind their name. They’ve all got a web site. They all post testimonials from satisfied customers. Right?
I won’t pretend I can answer ALL your questions on this page, but I invite you to peruse my blog posts, and contact me with any questions you still have. I especially love discussing those, “Why do I need an agent anyway?” questions, because I get a chance to tell you about all the services I have to offer.
I’ve lived in Arvada, Colorado (about midway between Denver and Boulder) since 1993, and have been a full-time real estate agent since 2001. I work with both buyers and sellers, and have helped single people, married people, all different kinds of families, young people and older folks, people moving up and people downsizing. I’ve dealt with HUD homes, foreclosures, short sales, and ‘regular’ sales.
One way I’m different from most agents, is I limit the number of clients I take at any one time. I know I won’t get rich that way, or be the ‘top producer’, but I can give my clients the kind of service they deserve. And that’s the only way I can sleep well at night.
Another way I’m different is that I really prefer to only work in the area I’m intimately familiar with. However, I do stray outside of the norm in ‘special’ cases. My ‘stomping grounds’ include Arvada, Golden, Lakewood, Westminster, Broomfield, Thornton, and Wheat Ridge. I have also helped people buy and sell homes in Littleton, Parker, Aurora, and Highlands Ranch. (BTW – a ‘special case’ is simply a person who wants to buy or sell a home outside of my familiar territory, and they still want to hire me after I explain that’s not where I spend most of my time.)
If you’d like to meet, or are just looking for someone to ask a question of, please call or email. You could text too, but I like to give long answers, so texting isn’t the best for that!
I’m looking to move to Arvada and wanted to know if Tornadoes are a big part of Arvada?
Thanks
Tornadoes are not a big part of Arvada. Since I’ve lived here (1993) I’ve heard rumors of tornadoes, but have never seen one. Yet, I hear we are ninth in the country for tornadoes. The dichotomy comes from two facts. First, the tornadoes that make the news either cause lots of property damage and/or loss of life. But most of Colorado’s tornadoes are out in the eastern plains, where the population is minimal so there is very little property damage and rare loss of life. Secondly, because of our altitude, tornadoes can’t form easily so most of those we have are weak.
Wind and hail are actually bigger issues around here.
